Periodic maintenance of construction equipment is determined by working hours, not by the kilometers traveled like the passenger cars. Similarly, the generator, compressor, or stationary maintenance-requiring work machines and equipment must also have a counter to show operating hours.
 
Conventional mechanical counters often fail because they are affected by heavy operating conditions such as dust, heat and vibration. ELO Operator Hour Counter w/ LED Display is an electronic product designed to work safely under these adverse conditions. There are two counters and the user may switch between counters by simply pushing the button on the front panel of the product.
 
Mechanical installation is extremely easy. The only installation needed is to mount the springs in place after inserting the produc into the housing. Electrical connections can be made with the same ease. There are two + inputs and one ground cable. If the voltage coming from the first + input, the first count will count. If the voltage is coming from second + input or both inputs, both counters will count.
 
The LED lamps on the left and right of the button determine which counter is being displayed. If the LED on the right side of the button is lit, the counter will show total time of first counter on display. If the LED on the left of the button is active, the counter will show total time of second counter. However operationally, regardless of the counter on display, it is the + signal that activates the counter. Therefore, if there is a + signal, the counter will be counting whether it is displayed on the screen or not.
