ELO Converters SMPS reduce 24 volts DC input voltage to 12 volts DC. They are designed for devices such as radio-cassette players, radios, TV’s and similar devices, which can only be powered by 12 Volt, for vehicles with 24 Volts battery. The fuse holder is placed on the outside of the device for easy access. The red LED on the fuse terminal is lit as long as the device is supplied with 24V and the fuse is intact. In cases which the unit is not supplied with 24V or the fuse is blown, the LED will go out. This device is designed to source 10 Amperes of continuous current at 12V output. In cases which the demand is more than 10 Amperes, the unit will reduce the output voltage with the help of its current limitation feature. Therefore, the device will never be damaged because of over current. Thus, ELO Converter SMPS protects both itself and the devices connected to its output. The product also has a short-circuit protection feature, which prevents the device output to be short-circuited by mistake. When the short circuit state is ceased, normal operation will be resumed with full functionality.
