In many countries of the world, it is mandatory for vehicles in traffic, to have headlights on 24 hours a day. However, since this manual procedure for many cars, it is often forgotten. ELO Automatic Daylight Switch On Relay is a product that allows the low-beam headlights to automatically switch on as soon as the ignition is switched regardless of the time of the day, or day of the year. Similarly, the relay turns the lights off as the ignition is turned off.
The only difference in relay with time delay is that it waits for 20 seconds to turn on the lights from the moment the ignition switch is turned on. Thus, when the starter is crancked, the 20 second delay is used to prevent added current drawn by the headlights onto the current drawn by the starter motor.
