These converters, manufactured with ELO’s design and quality policy, are devices, which reduce 24 volts DC input voltage to 12 volts DC. They are designed for utilization of Radio-Cassette Players, Radios, TV’s and similar devices, which can only be powered by 12 volt, in vehicles with 24 Volts battery. The fuse holder is placed on the outside of the device for easy access. The red LED on the fuse terminal is lit as long as the device is supplied 24V and the fuse is intact. If the LED is not lit, this means that the 24V supply voltage is missing or the devices fuse is blown. This device is designed to source 5 amperes of continuous current at its 12V output. In case of demand for more than 5 Amperes from the converter, it will reduce the output voltage with the help of its current limitation feature. By this way, the device will never be damaged because of over current. Thus, the device protects both itself and the device connected to its output. ELO 5A Converter also has Short-Circuit Protection feature. If the device output is short-circuited by mistake, it will not be damaged with the help of the short-circuit protection feature. When the short-circuit state is ceased, normal operation will be resumed with full functionality.
